From Golf to Padel: Where to Get Active in Ras Al Khaimah

From championship golf courses surrounded by mangroves to indoor courts designed for year-round play, Ras Al Khaimah offers plenty of ways to stay active. Whether you are planning a relaxed round of golf, organising a padel match or looking for an affordable badminton court, these five venues are a good place to start.

Al Hamra Golf Club

Male golfer in white shirt and navy trousers finishing a swing with a driver on a manicured green tee box, palm trees, sand, a lake, resort villas, and mountains behind under a clear blue sky.

Set within Al Hamra Village, Al Hamra Golf Club offers an 18-hole, par-72 championship course suited to both experienced golfers and newcomers. The club has hosted DP World Tour events and also offers floodlit golf, allowing players to continue after sunset.

Beyond the course, visitors can access practice facilities, professional coaching and dining options, making it easy to turn a round of golf into a full day out.

Location: Vienna Street, Al Hamra Village
Timings: Tee-time based, with daytime and selected evening sessions
Price: Green fees vary according to the season, tee time and UAE residency status
Booking: Advance booking through the Al Hamra Golf Club website is recommended.

Chase Sports Playgrounds

For families and groups looking for variety, Chase Sports Playgrounds is one of RAK’s most versatile indoor sports centres. The air-conditioned venue offers badminton, basketball, volleyball and futsal courts, alongside training programmes including gymnastics, martial arts and fitness classes.

Its indoor setting makes it particularly practical during the warmer months, whether you are arranging a casual game or joining a structured coaching session.

Location: Warehouse WIZ 1/014, Al Hamra Industrial Zone
Timings: Monday to Saturday, approximately 8:30am–11pm; closed Sunday

Blue Padel

Two male players in black shirts and shorts rally on a bright blue padel court with a net between them, surrounded by glass and mesh walls, with one player about to hit a yellow ball with his racket.

Located inside Al Naeem Mall, Blue Padel provides a convenient indoor court for one of the UAE’s fastest-growing sports. Equipment rental, lockers, free parking and mall facilities make it an accessible choice for beginners as well as regular players.

The indoor court is especially useful for daytime matches during summer, while extended weekend hours allow players to book well into the evening.

Location: Third floor, Al Naeem Mall, Bin Daher Street
Timings:
Monday–Thursday and Sunday: 8am–midnight
Friday–Saturday: 8am–2am
Price: Approximately AED 120 for 60 minutes

Tower Links offers a different kind of golfing experience, with 11 of its 18 holes winding around a natural mangrove reserve. The par-72 course welcomes players of different abilities and includes a driving range, putting and chipping areas, a golf academy and clubhouse dining.
