RAK Central: A New Business District for Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah’s rapid growth is creating demand for more than hotels, residences and visitor attractions. The emirate also needs modern offices and commercial infrastructure capable of supporting the companies arriving alongside its expanding tourism, property and industrial sectors.

Designed to become Ras Al Khaimah’s new commercial centre, RAK Central is an 8.37-million-square-foot mixed-use development located near Al Marjan Island. The wider master plan will combine offices, residences, hotels, retail, restaurants and landscaped public spaces, creating a district where people can work, live and spend time within one connected destination.

At its heart is RAK Central Square, the emirate’s first luxury Grade A office complex. The development comprises five buildings offering approximately 2.27 million square feet of workspace, with efficient floor plates of around 16,000 square feet designed for international companies and major regional businesses. Retail and dining spaces will support the office community at ground level.

Construction reached an important milestone in May 2026, when major structural works were completed. The buildings are expected to reach their full structural height later in 2026, with opening currently planned for the fourth quarter of 2027. The project is also targeting LEED Gold certification through energy-efficient systems, modern technology and more sustainable design.

RAK Central’s potential lies in its ability to diversify the emirate beyond leisure and real estate. As more hospitality groups, developers, manufacturers and professional-service companies establish operations in Ras Al Khaimah, the district could provide the high-quality offices and central business environment needed to support their regional headquarters.

Rather than being simply another development, RAK Central represents an important step towards creating a more complete economy—one where international businesses can operate alongside the emirate’s growing residential and tourism communities.
