The Strand by RAK properties: A New Lifestyle Community Takes Shape in Ras Al Khaimah
Discover The Strand, RAK Properties’ new community in Ras Al Khaimah featuring homes, dining, retail, green spaces and three lifestyle districts near Al Marjan Island.
The Strand: A New Lifestyle Community Takes Shape in Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah’s mainland is continuing to evolve, with RAK Properties unveiling The Strand, a new mixed-use community designed around residential living, green spaces, creativity, dining and everyday convenience.
Located within the Marjan Beach masterplan, The Strand represents RAK Properties’ expansion beyond its established Mina waterfront developments and forms part of the wider growth taking place across Ras Al Khaimah.
A New Community Near Al Marjan Island
The Strand will occupy approximately 185,759 square metres of land, with around 500,000 square metres of gross floor area planned across residences, retail destinations, landscaped areas and community spaces.
Its location places residents close to some of Ras Al Khaimah’s rapidly developing coastal destinations, including Al Marjan Island, nearby hotels and beach clubs, while planned bridge access will provide connectivity towards the Wynn resort. A large public park will also sit adjacent to the community.
Rather than functioning purely as a residential development, The Strand is being planned as a walkable neighbourhood where people can live, work, dine, exercise and spend time outdoors within the same destination.
Three Districts, Three Different Experiences
One of the most distinctive elements of The Strand is its division into three interconnected districts: Urban, Creative and Garden. Each area is designed around a different aspect of everyday life.
Urban District
Designed as the more energetic side of the community, the Urban District will bring together co-working spaces, shops, restaurants and active pedestrian streets.
The idea is to make everyday essentials and social spaces easily accessible without residents having to leave the neighbourhood for every activity.
Creative District
The Creative District is planned as a space for culture, collaboration and entrepreneurship.
Studios, workshops and cultural halls are expected to provide places where artists, entrepreneurs and other members of Ras Al Khaimah's creative community can work, meet and showcase their ideas.
Garden District
For a slower pace, the Garden District will focus on nature and wellness.
Landscaped parks, playgrounds and dedicated outdoor exercise routes will be complemented by cafés and relaxation spaces, creating a greener part of the development centred around spending time outdoors.
Designed Around Walkability and Outdoor Living
The Strand reflects a growing focus on neighbourhoods where outdoor spaces form part of daily life.
Its masterplan includes parks, gardens, playgrounds and walking trails alongside pedestrian-friendly streets connecting homes with retail, dining and social areas. Residences are also being planned with efficient layouts, natural light and contemporary finishes.
For Ras Al Khaimah, where beaches, mountains and outdoor experiences already play a major role in the emirate's identity, integrating nature into a new urban neighbourhood creates another way for residents to experience that lifestyle.
Part of Ras Al Khaimah's Growing Coastal Corridor

The Strand arrives during a period of significant development around Al Marjan Island and the surrounding mainland coastline.
Its proximity to beaches, resorts and hospitality destinations positions the community between residential Ras Al Khaimah and one of the emirate's fastest-growing tourism areas. RAK Properties says the development is also aligned with the broader objectives of RAK Vision 2030.
The company has positioned The Strand as a long-term destination for both residents and property investors, with the first phase of residential units expected to be announced separately.
Another Side of Life in Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah is often associated with Jebel Jais, beaches, desert adventures and luxury resorts, but developments such as The Strand point towards another part of the emirate's evolution: neighbourhoods designed around everyday living.
With places to eat, work, walk, create and unwind planned within one connected community, The Strand could become another destination to discover as the Marjan Beach area develops.
Whether you're visiting Ras Al Khaimah, considering moving to the emirate or simply looking for something new, there is much more taking shape across RAK.
