Hilton Garden Inn Ras Al Khaimah: A Local Guide to This Creek-Side City Hotel

Hilton Garden Inn Ras Al Khaimah is a waterfront city hotel in Al Nakheel, overlooking Ras Al Khaimah Creek. Its central location makes it a practical choice for business trips, short city breaks and travellers who want easy access to shopping, restaurants and the older parts of Ras Al Khaimah without staying at a full-scale beach resort.

The property has 240 rooms and reopened as Hilton Garden Inn Ras Al Khaimah on 10 May 2017 following a multimillion-dirham renovation of the former Hilton Ras Al Khaimah, which originally opened in 2001. The reopening introduced the Hilton Garden Inn brand to Ras Al Khaimah and positioned the property in the city’s mid-market hotel segment.

Location

The hotel is on Bin Daher Street in Al Nakheel, close to the commercial centre of Ras Al Khaimah. Al Naeem Mall is around 500 metres away, Manar Mall is approximately 1 kilometre away, and Hilton places the city centre at about 1.7 kilometres from the property. The National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah is approximately 3 kilometres away.

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is around 21 kilometres from the hotel, while Dubai International Airport is approximately 97 kilometres away. The hotel does not provide an airport shuttle. Complimentary on-site self-parking and valet parking are available, while EV charging is available nearby.

The city location also works well as a base for exploring the wider emirate, including mountain trips to Jebel Jais and other day trips from RAK.

Rooms and Facilities

Hilton Garden Inn Ras Al Khaimah has 240 guest rooms, including family rooms and suites, with views towards the city, creek or landscaped grounds. Complimentary Wi-Fi is included, and confirmed connecting rooms are available for families or groups travelling together.

Facilities include a large outdoor swimming pool overlooking the creek, fitness centre, paddle-tennis facilities, landscaped gardens and a private jetty. The combination gives the hotel more leisure facilities than a typical city-centre business hotel, despite not being a beach resort.

Business and event facilities are also substantial. The 369-square-metre Khuzam Ballroom can accommodate up to 300 guests for a banquet or 400 in theatre-style seating, with additional smaller meeting rooms including Al Khor, Al Wadi, Al Nakheel and Julphar.

Dining

There are several dining and refreshment options within the hotel.

The Garden Grille is the main all-day restaurant, serving freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is offered as a buffet and is chargeable unless included in the room rate or package booked.

Hopfenberg brings a German beer-hall influence to the property, with a selection of traditional German-style brews in a relaxed, rustic setting. For something more casual during the day, the Pool Bar serves food and drinks beside the swimming pool.

Room Service offers international and local dishes for guests who prefer to dine in their rooms, while The Shop is the hotel’s convenience outlet for snacks, beverages, sundries and ready-to-prepare meals.

Beach Access

Hilton Garden Inn Ras Al Khaimah is not a beachfront hotel. The property overlooks Ras Al Khaimah Creek and is better suited to travellers who prioritise a central city location over direct beach access.

Who Is It Best For?

Hilton Garden Inn Ras Al Khaimah is particularly well suited to business travellers, couples, families and short-stay visitors who prioritise a central location, free parking, straightforward facilities and easy access to Ras Al Khaimah city.

The outdoor pool, gardens and creek-side setting add a leisure element, but this is fundamentally a city hotel rather than a beach resort. Travellers planning most of their time around city attractions, shopping, meetings or excursions may find the location more convenient than staying farther south on Al Marjan Island or Al Hamra.
