Zuma — Contemporary Japanese Dining

Zuma is currently one of the resort’s headline restaurants, bringing its contemporary take on Japanese izakaya dining to the desert. The menu moves from sushi and sashimi to dishes prepared on the robata grill, with lunch and brunch available on weekends alongside dinner throughout the week.

Current opening hours are:

Monday to Thursday: 6:00 pm–12:00 am
Friday and Saturday: 12:30 pm–3:30 pm and 6:00 pm–1:00 am
Sunday: 12:30 pm–3:30 pm and 6:00 pm–12:00 am

Zuma works particularly well for celebrations, group dinners and guests looking for a lively alternative to the resort’s quieter desert experiences.

Farmhouse by Syrco— Temporarily Closed

Farmhouse by Syrco is known for its conscious dining approach, combining local flavours, seasonal produce and responsibly sourced ingredients. The restaurant was awarded one toque by Gault & Millau 2026.

However, Farmhouse by Syrco temporarily closed on 27 July 2026 for a reimagining and is expected to reopen in October 2026. Check the resort’s official dining page for the confirmed reopening date before planning a visit.

Kaheela — International and Regional Cuisine

Kaheela is the resort’s main all-day restaurant, serving international dishes alongside flavours from the Middle East and India. Breakfast includes a daily buffet with additional à la carte choices, while lunch and dinner provide a flexible option for families and groups with different preferences.

Kaheela is open daily for:

Breakfast: 7:00 am–11:00 am
Lunch: 12:30 pm–3:30 pm
Dinner: 6:30 pm–10:30 pm

The dress code is casual.

Destination Dining — Dinner Beneath the Stars

For an experience shaped around the desert setting, the resort’s Destination Dining service offers private barbecue dinners in selected locations, including secluded dunes and a podium overlooking the Farmhouse waterhole.

Experiences can include an Arabian- or Western-style barbecue, a personal chef and dedicated service beneath the night sky. Destination Dining is currently listed daily from 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm and should be arranged in advance.

Casual Daytime Options

Paddock Cafe is located at the equestrian centre, with views over the paddocks and surrounding reserve. It serves as a relaxed stop for coffee and light refreshments and is open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Sunday to Thursday and until 8:00 pm on Friday and Saturday.

Oasis Pool Bar serves drinks and light bites beside the resort’s temperature-controlled pool, including a swim-up bar and outdoor lounging. It is currently open daily from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Kan Zaman is a seasonal desert venue centred on Arabic food and private events. Availability depends on the season, so arrangements should be confirmed directly with the resort.

Desert or Beach Dining?

For Japanese cuisine, private dinners beneath the stars and a nature-reserve setting, choose Al Wadi Desert.

For Gulf views and seafood, The Ritz-Carlton Al Hamra Beach is the group’s coastal property. Its main restaurant, The Shore House, serves locally sourced seafood and grilled dishes in an indoor-outdoor setting overlooking the Arabian Gulf. The resort’s Beach Deck is currently listed as temporarily closed.

To plan a longer stay around either setting, browse our where to stay in RAK guide.
